Section G - St Just St to Mine Entrance

This area is one in which we do a lot of work, as can be seen from the map above.

The Sections G1 & G2 are some of our earlier plantings of ground covers and small shrubs.

G3 and G7 are adjacent to Burra Tyres and the garage workshop, in which we have planted a variety of eucalypts, acacias and melaleucas.

G4, G5 G6 and G8 are basically between the bike path and the bed of the creek. We have planted species into those places progressively.

G9 and G10 are similarly planted.

G11 hosts various Greening Australia (GA) plantings from May 2016 - acacias and melaleucas.

G12 was earmarked for further GA plantings, but it appears to have been a historic work area for the mine, is difficult to plant in, and consequently we may revert to encouraging the spread of native grasses.

This area also is prone to 'pooling' when the creek floods and it also has quite precipitous banks- making it difficult to mow in a season like 2016.

It is nevertheless one of the most accessible sections of the creek, and has some lovely places in which to 'just sit and look'
