With Support From

The Regional Council of Goyder

When we started the project we asked for and were supplied with a ride on mower to help us with site keeping weeds down.

It has worked brilliantly, and the Council has funded fuel and repairs for its operation.

They have provided us with Trees for Life seedlings each year, and of course have given us Ward Funds to help establish the Nursery.

We meet regularly and plan our involvement in the management of the creek with them.

To expand our capacity they have also purchased a small Case 35B loader with attachments.

South Australian Murray Darling Basin NRM Board

Through their various changes in structure the staff of DEWNR have been very supportive of our project - directly by participating with workshops, advice and with work on site, as well as through the grants and encouragement that we have received.

Most recently we have received a Connecting Communities Grant from the SAMDB NRM which we are using to employ a Project Manager for the Creek Project and the subsequent Burra Community Nursery - from July 2017 to the 30th June 2018.

Burra Creek Gardeners - South Australia

A stalwart group lead by Shirley Broad, which meets on most Tuesday mornings.

They are now Burra Revegetation Group volunteers working under the insurance provided by the SAMDB NRM, and mostly work independently. They have provided very valuable assistance in planting and maintenance work, especially when we have volunteer work events.

Over the years this project has been running we have had many people helping and contributing, including those that wear several hats as the Friends of Burra Parks
